The Embraer E190 is a twin-engine regional jet sized to bridge regional and mainline flying, seating about 96 passengers and up to 114 single-class. Two GE CF34-10E5 turbofans give a cruise of 829 km/h and a range near 4,537 km. First flown in 2004, the E190 is 36.2 metres long with a 28.7-metre wingspan and a maximum takeoff weight of 51,800 kg. Its four-abreast, 2-2 cabin avoids middle seats and offers mainline-standard comfort at regional-jet scale. Carriers such as JetBlue used the type to serve smaller airports where the economics of a full narrow-body would not work, filling routes between commuter turboprops and larger single-aisle jets.

About Embraer E190
